CET Entrance Exams

On this page of our site we will provide you information about CET entrance exam. Common Entrance Test or CET entrance exam is conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore(KEA)for the purpose of admitting students to first year Courses in Engineering, Medical, Dental Courses in Bangalore, Mangalore, and other districts in Karnataka.
One can get CET entrance dates, CET test dates and information about CET exam schedule easily by browsing through internet. Admissions in Engineering(engg) colleges / medical colleges / dental colleges are based on CET entrance merit. Entrance exam of CET is the test conducted by the state government.


For Engineering / Technology courses:- The applicant should have passed 12th with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects, irrespective of marks obtained in the CET entrance.

Eligibility for CET entrance exam


For Medical / Dental courses: The applicant should have passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and with English as one of the languages of study and have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in the PCB group and should secure a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in PCB subjects in the Common Entrance Test. In case of SC, ST, OBC; the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate in PCB group both in Qualifying Examination and CET entrance.
In case of SC, ST and OBC, the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40%.
