Common Admission Test- CAT entrance exam is a standardized test delivered in English conducted with an intention of providing potential and deserving students to IIMs for
	advanced study in Business and Management. CAT entrance is an all-India test conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) which are considered to be the most prestigious B-schools of India. One can get CAT entrance dates, CAT test dates and information about CAT exam schedule easily by browsing through internet. Studying in prestigious IIMs is a dream of almost every student who wants to own a management degree.
Entrance exam of CAT acts first step towards the admission in IIMS. But the story doesn’t end with just having a good CAT score. IIMs also conduct Group discussions and interviews and one has to clear these also to enter into prestigious IIMs. CAT score is also used by some other business schools in India for admission purpose. Common Admission Test (CAT) is multiple-choice based entrance exam, with negative marking for wrong answers. Entrance exam of CAT comprises of three sections which contains arithmetical problem solving, geometry, statistics, data interpretation, logical reasoning, puzzles, and English language skills.
Eligibility for CAT exams To be eligible of going through CAT entrance a candidate must have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks. In case of the SC and ST, a minimum of 45% mark is sufficient. However some special courses need additional qualifications as eligibility criteria. So, one should check out the eligibility criteria before applying for a particular course of CAT entrance exam.
