CAT preparations usually start from the day a student enters into final year of graduation as that the apt time to start CAT exam preparation if one wants to ace CAT. CAT entrance is an all-India test conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) which are considered to be the most prestigious B-schools of India.
Studying in prestigious IIMs is a dream of almost every student who wants to own a management degree. Entrance exam of CAT acts first step towards the admission in IIMS.
CAT preparation tips:


  • Don't forget clearing cut-offs is essential to getting calls from most of the institutions; doing well in one section and not clearing the cut-off in another will not help.
  • Make it a point to take a couple of mock tests every week from now on.
  • Study regularly and use your time wisely.
Although there is not any fixed formula to score good marks in CAT but we are presenting before you some CAT preparation tips those will surely act as CAT preparation guide for you and will definitely help you to ace CAT exam preparation. Here are some CAT preparation tips:
  • Attempt the 60 to 70 easiest possible questions out of the 120 to 150 odd questions that are put to you. This will save your time and inculcate accuracy in your answers.

  • Before giving mock tests, ensure you have a good grasp on the various CAT sections; you should be able to attempt at least 80 to 90 questions. This will give you the confidence during CAT preparations!
  • Remember all sections are equally important and should be given equal time unless you are exceptionally weak in a particular section.
  • Improve upon your English because it is going to help you in group discussions in addition to written test.
  • Set a goal while revising or studying the CAT preparation material.
